Solitude

In the depths I felt

The strongest urges to reach out

To those emotions I had long since left

This new sphere of alone I felt in drought

Of familiarity —

New surroundings smother my sense of adjustment

Moving around as if to move is to be free

Shackled by the old emotions I chose to relent

In solitude I chose that would be where my time is spent

Alone is where I needed to be

Tempted by the feelings that had long since left me

To face the beast that shows as insecurity

I sat soberly. Clearly

Rising and growing to fully master peace
